I’ve only been involved in one other blog tour, so you can imagine my excitement when I learned that I was chosen to be a part of another one! Mom Central invited me to be a part of the Halls Allergy Relief Blog Tour from Wednesday, May 19th through Wednesday, June 2nd. Halls Cough Drops offer “A Great Tasting Complement to Your Allergy Medication.” Here’s a direct quote from their website…
During allergy season, inhaled irritants like pollen, grass and trees can trigger irritating coughs and scratchy, sore throats. While your allergy medication provides the all-day relief you’re looking for, don’t forget to take your HALLS® too. Take HALLS® with Advanced Vapor Action® formula for fast, soothing relief of your cough and scratchy, sore throat. It starts working within 10 seconds! As a complement to your allergy medication, the fast-relief of HALLS® might just put a spring in your step when spring allergies hit.
Honestly, I’ve never really thought of using a cough drop to help with allergy symptoms, but I thought I’d give them a try because I’ve dealt with allergies (seasonal and otherwise) for as long as I can remember. I’ve never had an allergy shot, but I will receive my first one in the next week or two after a recent allergist appointment. So, I’m thinking… if my allergies are bad enough to “warrant” shots, then I must have them pretty bad. (I received a package of black cherry sugar free Halls cough drops in the mail. I don’t think I’ve ever tried their sugar free variety, so that was a nice surprise!)
Halls simply wants to be a part of my allergy regimen. They are assuming that I have sore throats and/or irritating coughs along with my allergies. Thankfully, I don’t currently have a sore throat or an irritating cough. However, I thought I’d try one out anyway. The menthol in the cough drop started working almost instantaneously. You know… that feeling of “Ahhh…!” I think Halls first coined the phrase “Vapor Action,” and that was the sensation I felt. It really did give me the feeling that my sinuses were clear! As for the taste? I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor… refreshing and not too “mediciny.”
